Randi & Stanley

Randi & Stanley : Next to me

“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.”

– Elizabeth Barrett Browning

First of all, it’s great to be back. Weddings and engagement sessions have been a massive part of my storytelling ventures and the time away has been spent reflecting and celebrating the works of before. It’s exciting to add more layers, knowledge and passion to this new season. A special THANK YOU to Kelsey and Dana for helping us out on this special day :)

Enter Stanley and Randi. Yes, same name. Great friends. Brothers. And Randi, well, his perfect match.

We briefly talked about what we wanted the day to come out like but naturally, plans change. And so does Texas weather. We were lucky to have a cool and cloudy morning but that turned into a bizarre high 70’s kinda midday. We still worked with the adjustments. They both looked stunning in all their outfits with the gorgeous city of Dallas as a backdrop.

My personal favorite was the first look we did. Formal and fearless. It made it feel like the actual wedding day. They both fell into each other perfectly, as expected, and after a few warm up snaps and camera tests, we were on our way.

The chemistry between them allowed for me to focus more on our environments rather than them. It’s such a luxury and a privilege to capture the natural expressions with little coaching. And like most couples, as time went on, they felt even more comfortable in front of my giant camera and lenses.

What made this incredibly wonderful was how I got to know my friends even more in this reality. This is a such a special union and I feel especially lucky to tell your beautiful tale.

We did it.
